Branding
Why is brand so important for Conservation Districts?
With consistent use of visual elements and communication styles, each conservation district can help contribute to creating a more recognizable identity of conservation districts in our state. If people have a better understanding of what conservation districts are and what they stand for, there can be a tangible effect on funding levels for CDs, more effective consensus building, and engagement from the community in CD work all the way down to the local level. By using a similar visual style across conservation district communications, we more easily convey to our audiences that we are a network of conservation services working across Montana.
Styleguide
A styleguide is a document that defines the visual language for an organization. The Styleguide for Montana’s Conservation Districts is designed to accommodate the unique look and feel of your local district’s existing logo, website, colors, etc… This document is designed to balance the varied aesthetic preferences of each district while also conveying to our audience that each district is part of a network of districts doing important and shared work across the state.
Messaging Guidelines
Think of all the staff, supervisors, and cooperators who have been involved with CDs across our state — that’s a lot of people who can help share the story of our work. Here are resources to help us speak in a strong, unified voice about the value of CDs and voluntary conservation.
